Melissa
L. Hall, MPH -
Executive Director
Melissa was born
in Kansas and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She received
a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee,
and a Master of Public Health from Emory University, Rollins School
of Public Health in Atlanta. She has more than 15 years of experience
developing, managing and evaluating public health communications and
programming. Her accomplishments include serving in the Peace Corps
as a Community Health Educator, and completing a fellowship with the
American Cancer Society, Collaborative Evaluation Fellows Project.
Heather
Dombrowski -
Development Coordinator
Heather
is responsible for the development work at the Medical Care Access
Coalition including grant writing, reporting, fund raising, event
planning, and evaluation work.
Heather graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2001 and received
a Bachelors in Public Administration. She continued her education
at NMU and in 2004 received her Masters in Public Administration.
She began working with MCAC in Spring of 2005.
She lives in Marquette with her husband and son.
Mary
K. Holkko-
Financial Coordinator
As
the Financial Coordinator for the Medical Care Access Coalition, Mary
is responsible to maintain fiscal and organizational integrity through
management, implementation, compliance and controls.
Mary is a graduate of Northern Michigan University. She has over twenty
five years of non-profit management and over thirty years of accounting
experience.
Mary enjoys music, gardening and spending time with her family and
friends. She is thrilled and honored to be part of a the dedicated
staff that works along side the compassionate volunteers and board
at MCAC because of their heart felt vision to provide: All people
access with dignity to quality, affordable healthcare.
Linda
Wolf -
Asst. Clinical Services Coordinator
Linda
Wolf is a native of Marquette. She has worked in the clerical field
for many years.
She volunteered in the Kevin O’Brien Medical Library at Marquette
General Hospital before coming to MCAC, and currently chairs the Mastectomy
Pillow Project at MGH. Linda is currently enrolled in the Medical
Office Assistant class through Bay deNoc Community College.
Linda lives in Sands Township with her husband, Terry, their poodle,
Abby, and an African Gray parrot named Ziggy. She enjoys crafts, sewing,
camping and fishing (if Terry handles the worms and fish going on
and off the hook).
Lori Hinga, LPN -
Senior Clinical Services Coordinator
Lori
received her diploma from Northern Michigan University in 1984. Since
that time, she has worked in various acute health care settings and
social service agencies, including service in the US Army, home health,
the YMCA, and as a Senior Center Director.
At MCAC, she is primarily responsible to direct all aspects of the
MCAC volunteer clinic, MCAC pharmacy program and MCAC dental program.
Lori is the liaison to the volunteer physicians, mid-level practitioners
and nurses that serve in the clinic.
Lori has volunteered as flight nurse with the Wings of Mercy - Western
Michigan which is an organization that provides free air transportation
to patients with a limited income and with the MCAC free clinic.
Lori enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, kayaking and
hiking. She resides in Gwinn with her daughter Emily and Timber the
dog.
Hugh (Mac) Miller III -
Program Coordinator, MAP-C
As
the MAP-C Coordinator, Mac organizes all aspects of MCAC's volunteer
services and the enrollment process. The MAP-C Program focuses on
those patients who are placed in primary care homes outside of MCAC's
Volunteer Clinic. Additionally, Mac created and manages the MCAC website.
A
2001 graduate of Northern Michigan University, Mac received a B.S.
in Graphic Communication with a minor in Mathematics. Mac has been
with MCAC since April, 2004.
Mac
lives in Negaunee with his wife, daughter, and two large dogs.
Nicole
Phillips -
Program Support Specialist
Nicole began working
at MCAC in the summer of 2002, took a few years off to stay at home
with her young children, and returned to work in the fall of 2008.
She currently helps to coordinate specialty care for MCAC patients
and assists with the volunteer clinic.
As a graduate
of Northern Michigan University, Nicole earned a B.S. degree in Biology
and later became certified in Secondary Education.
Nicole lives in
Marquette with her husband and three children. She enjoys volunteering
as a Sunday school teacher and as a Christian Education Committee
member at the First Presbyterian Church and loves spending time with
her wonderful family biking, hiking, swimming, and cooking.
Tammy
Millimaki - Administrative Specialist
Tammy is a life-long
resident of the U.P. She was born and raised in the small town of
Republic and received a BS degree in Elementary Education from Northern
Michigan University . She spent several years at home, providing in-home
daycare and running a home-based business selling jewelry. She remains
very active within her church, school and community and before joining
MCAC, worked as a Customer Service Representative for a local insurance
agency.
As the Administrative
Specialist, she is responsible for handling a wide variety of situations
involving the clerical and administrative functions of the office.
Tammy resides
in Ishpeming with her husband, Keith, two children, Tyrus and Hannah,
Chocolate Lab, Dega Mae, and Cat, Isabelle Lou. She enjoys spending
time with her family and friends, camping, and attending her children's
sporting events.
